The Albins Product starts life long before we even begin the design process. All our material is hand picked and stored in our own steel warehouse at Albins. To ensure we have a plentiful and consistent supply of extremely high grade material on hand at all times, we source globally and have independent metallurgical tests carried out on each bar of stock. Our design wing houses 6 full time design engineers including an electronics engineer.

Manufacturing is carried out on state of the art CNC mills, lathes and Gear Cutting Equipment. Our fleet of machinery is turned over regularly ensuring we continually have the latest machines on offer to create precision manufactured componentry.

As part of our ISO 9001 2000 quality program, we have incorporated computer operated gear profile checking machines and a 5 Axis CNC Co-Ordinate Measuring Machine which can check dimensions of components and reverse engineer them into the digital domain where they can be checked against original CAD models. Through the use of these processes, we can observe natural changes in physical characteristics after heat treatment and make changes to the original design to compensate for such changes. The end result is a product closer to perfection. All Albins products undergo additional shot peening to increase the fatigue life of components. This process gives the Albins product its Bronze coloured finish and integrates substantial anti-wear properties into each part we produce.
